The TB-PCR is the test that helps diagnose and confirm infection of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis that attacks the lungs, however, can affect other parts of the body. It may cause pulmonary tuberculosis and other infections like ones of the skin and abdomen. It is contracted through the air when people who have the disease cough, sneeze or spit.

- Prolonged and persistent cough
- Blood in sputum
- Painful breathing
- Painful coughing
When TB severely spreads in the lungs, it shows the following symptoms include:

Any preparation required for TB PCR test?
Patients with tuberculosis may present without symptoms or may be present in an extremely debilitated state. Symptom-free TB may be detected during routine screening.
TB symptoms include a cough that is worse in the morning (sometimes with hemoptysis, blood in the sputum), Chest pain Breathlessness Night Sweats Signs of pneumonia.

Limitations Of TB PCR Blood Test Result
This rapid PCR assay detects Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex nucleic acid and, therefore, does not distinguish between viable, disease-related organisms and nucleic acid persisting from prior infection. Test results should be correlated with patient symptoms and clinical presentation before a definitive diagnosis is made.
